At New Directions, we know that lasting recovery takes a village. The support, guidance, and understanding of our community partners have been the foundation of our success. Thanks to the collaboration of local government agencies, community organizations, and dedicated professionals, New Directions has been able to provide hope and healing to individuals and families for decades.
Government & Public Agency Support
Community Partners
Healthcare Partner
The City of Stockton and San Joaquin County have been instrumental in helping New Directions thrive:
City of Stockton Housing and Redevelopment Department
Provided funding through the Community Development Block Grant program, enabling the purchase of our current site (a former bible college).
Helped finance the rehabilitation of our women’s treatment facility.
San Joaquin Community Development Department
Assisted with the acquisition of a conditional use permit.
Supported the purchase and rehabilitation of our program facilities.
San Joaquin County
Funded 15 treatment beds for nearly 15 years through a federal HUD grant, contributing nearly $3 million and making treatment possible for hundreds of clients.
Without this support, New Directions could not operate at the level we do today.
Our success has also been made possible by the generosity and involvement of local organizations, including:
San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services
San Joaquin County Human Services Agency/Child Protective Services
California Department of Health Care Services
Community Medical Centers
Bank of Agriculture and Commerce
Second Harvest Food Bank
Bimbo Bakeries USA
Sprouts Farmers Market
WestCare of Fresno, California
California Department of Corrections
…and many others who continue to strengthen our mission.
A vital partner in our mission, Community Medical Centers (CMC) has provided critical medical services to our clients who may otherwise go without care.
For many years, CMC’s dedicated team has visited New Directions each month to provide:
Tuberculosis testing
HIV testing and education
Flu shots for staff and residents — all free of charge
Their long-standing commitment to the health and well-being of our community is deeply appreciated.
New Directions would not be here today without the generosity of these agencies, organizations, and individuals. Their commitment helps us provide life-changing treatment and hope to the community we serve.
